Paint the Town

Two of Nashville's hottest young musicians, Madison Sasser and Jason Ferber, have come together to experiment with spice & color on their newest project, "Paint the Town".   When Madison first requested my promo shoot services, I asked to hear some of their music to get a better picture of what we were capturing.  Madison sent me "Shine Bright," a pop oriented song with lots of flare, catchy melodies, and colorful lyrics.  Immediately I knew we were going to have a really fun shoot.

On the day of our shoot, Jason, Madison and I met at a local coffee shop.  The three of us hit it off instantly, and as we laughed we began the shoot, capturing great shots from start to finish.  Madison and Jason were both very comfortable with each other, having spent a good deal of time together during their writing process.  I was extremely greatful for their ease and willingness to do all the goofy things I asked them.  In the end, we walked away with over 1,000 great shots and a really great memory.

Liz Rose

Liz Rose.  WHAT A NAME... and if I'm being completely honest, I knew I wanted to shoot her the minute I saw her.  She's gorgeous in the best way; very natural and unique, yet extremely edgy without trying... her quirkiness adds such a likable element to her style---and not to mention she's TALL and LONG :) ...her limbs, for lack of a better word, make my job as a photographer so easy.  Needless to say, we had a great time together--We met up at her new place in the great City of Nashville, TN.  She and another girl stole a hot spot of real estate and are in the process of remodeling.  Lots of hardwood floors, staircases and the beautiful smell of an antique home.  She gave me a little tour, and we landed in her quaint and cute room upstairs.  She was wearing this white dress that drove me crazy with how cute it was--during makeup and pre-production, I continued to grow in excitement--this girl's style was "off-the-chain".  I had known this prior to asking her to do a shoot with me, but the more I talked to her and got to know her, everything matched.  Her personality and quirks were all I could ask for.
Eventually we made our way to the first location--she wore the white dress she already had on, because I loved it so much, and we added some combat boots for a bit of flare :)  The rest of the shoot was a breeze--she was extremely comfortable in front of the camera, and her body would move in exactly the ways I wanted it to... If it's up to me, this will not be the last time Liz Rose and I work together... :)
