Baby Oliver

   Little Ollie, the son of Nicole and Hunter Feltes--amazing people and dear friends of mine--was by far one of the faster and easier shoots I've encountered.  Having just eaten, Oliver was bubbling with smiles and happiness when I arrived at the home of Kristi and Rick Allen, where the shoot was done.  I put a few pillows down on a table outside and threw a blanket over them for our first few pictures.
       Oliver got undressed (with the help of his mother (:) and I began snapping shots of his beautiful little face.  He kept smiling SO big and I couldn't help but continue taking pictures of that sweet sight--I must've taken over a hundred and fifty pictures of him in his first position! Every way I'd turn him, he'd continue to show off a little bit more of his personality and that unforgettable grin.  Although, with a grandmpa/grandpa, great grandma, uncle, mom and dad surrounding him behind the camera- making noise, clapping, and putting on their big baby faces- I think anyone would quite a giggle :)....
 Even after looking at these for a week, I can't help but smile and giggle to myself when I see that absolutely precious face.  Thanks Nicole and Hunter, for letting me be the photographer to experience your gerber model of a baby...

Hallie Darnell

For my first pin-up-esque shoot, I could not have asked for a better model.  Hallie and I have collaborated once before this summer, and I discovered her gift.
 That gift being open and vulnerable;
of being fearless with the art of her body;
of being shockingly creative.
Hallie is seeking a modeling career in swimsuit and lingerie, so we got creative and had a little fun :)  The results were beautiful.

Case Munson

Case is a gorgeous young man, if I might say so, who is going to be a senior this year and is also an incredible baseball player.  I first met him through babysitting his younger sisters on the weekends this summer.  While I stayed with the girls, Case and his parents traveled the United States with his baseball team.  When his mom asked me to take his senior pictures, I was thrilled.  I started brainstorming of great locations because, after all, it's not everyday that you get a great looking guy willing to be photographed.  In fact, I'd venture out to say that guys are the hardest to get in front of the camera... especially good looking ones ;)

   So, of course on the day of our shoot it was raining.  I didn't want to give up completely, so we planned to go through with it as long as it wasn't pouring.  We made it to our first location and got through about 150 shots before the rain came howling with lightning and thunder...
needless to say, we had to reschedule.  But as I was going through the few pictures we got, I was delighted to find many of them to be GREAT! I decided the rain was actually to my advantage... I got good shots despite the rain, PLUS I was able to reschedule for another shoot on a sunny day, giving me more time to brainstorm great locations and props :)

Art Experience 2010: "All I Have Seen"

"No One."
No one face is like another.  All are formed with significance, with detail. Yet each face is unique; set apart with a touch of color.  Similarities may appear, but no one face is entirely the same.  They are created to be seen in all their depth, the shades of blue and red; A design created to grow and change, to experience beauty in all seasons and places.
